Deep Diver
After Advanced Open Water certification, you may begin to find yourself in dive scenarios that involve depths of up to 40 Meters / 130 feet. Deeper dives need a more ‘mission oriented’ mind-set, paying particular attention to gas planning.

The PADI Deep Diver specialty course doesn’t extend your depth limits, but it gives you a more advanced approach to planning and diving to depths greater than 18 Meters / 60 feet. You’ll learn to dive with an extra ‘bottle of gas’, and do ‘deep specific’ exercises such as performing a simulated emergency decompression stop for 8 minutes. You will also do exercises and learn that your mental abilities at depth may be different from what you think they are!
